Amateur cyclists are still living the start in the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs. The race gathered over 2000 competitors on the route around Bukowina Tatrzańska, who faced the Podhale climbs. This is not the end of great emotions within the ORLEN Lang Team Race! On September 19th in Bytów, the final edition of the series will take place, combined with the Race and Family Parade in the Footsteps of Czesław Lang!
This year’s ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amatorów once again attracted a multitude of cycling enthusiasts to the route. With their rivalry, the competitors commemorated Ryszard Szurkowski, an outstanding Polish cyclist – a serial world champion, winner of the Peace Race, and Olympic medalist.
The struggles took place on demanding loops with the iconic climb up the Bukowina Wall. Everything started in the morning at the BUKOVINA Resort, and the competition ended at the Rusiń-Ski Station. In the OPEN classifications, the best were Artur Sowiński (HS Cycling Team) and Kamila Wójcikiewicz-Płotkowiak (Agrochest Team).
A total of over 2000 participants stood at the start, which confirms the high interest in events under the ORLEN Lang Team Race banner and the popularity of cycling among amateur riders.
Ahead of us is one more race from the prestigious series organized by Lang Team. On September 19th, amateur cyclists will visit Bytów, where the grand finale of the competition within the ORLEN Lang Team Race will take place, as well as the Race and Parade in the Footsteps of Czesław Lang.
Just like a year ago, it will be a celebration of cycling – not only for the riders themselves, but also for families and children. The struggles will take place in the home regions of Czesław Lang, which in August hosted professionals with crowds of fans during the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The competition will be held on picturesque and hilly Kashubian roads over two distances – MINI and MAXI. The first of them is 41 kilometers, the second – 108.
In addition to the winners in individual categories of the ORLEN Lang Team Race in Bytów, in September we will also get to know the winners of the general and team classifications of the entire series of races under the ORLEN Lang Team Race banner.
