The cycling season is coming to an end, but before it does, it\u2019s worth taking part in the unique ORLEN Lang Team Race in Byt\u00f3w. The event, held in the hometown of Czes\u0142aw Lang, traditionally gathers cycling enthusiasts on the course, who will take part in the race as well as in the \u201cFollowing the Footsteps of Czes\u0142aw Lang\u201d Parade.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For amateur cyclists, this will be the last race in the ORLEN Lang Team Race series. After successful events in Ar\u0142am\u00f3w and BUKOVINA Resort \u2013 where the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs \u2013 Ryszard Szurkowski Memorial was held \u2013 it\u2019s now time for the stage in Byt\u00f3w, the city of Czes\u0142aw Lang.<\/p>\n

The 1980 Olympic silver medalist and General Director of Lang Team invites everyone to take part in the race, which will be held on Saturday, September 13. Riders will be able to choose between two distances \u2014 Mini and Maxi \u2014 while the competition will also feature a children\u2019s race and the family-friendly \u201cFollowing the Footsteps of Czes\u0142aw Lang\u201d Parade. It\u2019s a great opportunity for parents to spend time with their children in a cycling atmosphere. The event is held under the patronage of Mieczys\u0142aw Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea for organizing the \u2018Following the Footsteps of Czes\u0142aw Lang\u2019 Parade came from my own story. Right here in Byt\u00f3w, at the age of 13, I competed in the \u2018Little Peace Race\u2019 which sparked my love for cycling. The bicycle quickly became my whole life. That\u2019s why I encourage families to join the Parade and amateur cyclists to take part in the final stage of the ORLEN Lang Team Race, which as always will be held with professional organization and full safety measures\u201d<\/em> said Czes\u0142aw Lang, General Director of Lang Team.<\/p>\n

Depending on their choice, amateurs will compete over distances of 41 and 108 kilometers. Both routes will start and finish in Byt\u00f3w and lead through hilly terrain showcasing the unique landscapes of Kashubia. For those racing or taking part in the parade, it will also be a chance to ride on the very roads where Czes\u0142aw Lang began his cycling career. The grand finale of the ORLEN Lang Team Race in Byt\u00f3w, scheduled for September 13, promises to be a true cycling celebration.<\/p>\n

Registration for the ORLEN Lang Team Race and the \u201cFollowing the Footsteps of Czes\u0142aw Lang\u201d Race and Parade is open at the website<\/a><\/strong>, where the event regulations can also be found. The race office will be open on September 12 from 5:00\u20137:00 PM and on the day of the race from 8:00\u201310:30 AM.<\/p>\n
