There is no doubt that in the coming days, Hotel Ar\u0142am\u00f3w will become the cycling capital of Poland. In addition to three stage finishes of the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix, on Saturday it will host the first edition of this year’s ORLEN Lang Team Race \u2013 a unique event for amateur cyclists. Alongside passionate two-wheelers, Czes\u0142aw Lang \u2013 General Director of Lang Team and Saturday\u2019s birthday celebrant \u2013 will also take part!<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday, May 17, hundreds of amateur riders will compete in the first of three stages of the ORLEN Lang Team Race series. Just like last year, the race will take place on a scenic route, well known from events such as the Tour de Pologne or the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix. Cycling legends will join the peloton, led by Czes\u0142aw Lang, who will be celebrating his 70th birthday!<\/p>\n

“This will be a special edition of the ORLEN Lang Team Race. On race day I\u2019ll be celebrating my 70th birthday, so I\u2019d like to surprise every participant by riding together with them. We\u2019ll invite great cycling champions like Darek Baranowski, Krzysztof Sujka, Lechos\u0142aw Michalak, Jan Faltyn, Henryk Charucki, and many more. Together we\u2019ll start from Hotel Ar\u0142am\u00f3w and return there, but first we\u2019ll pass through places like Gruszowa and Kalwaria Pac\u0142awska. It will be great fun”<\/em> says Czes\u0142aw Lang.<\/p>\n

The amateur cyclists will compete over a distance of 75 kilometers, starting and finishing at Hotel Ar\u0142am\u00f3w. Along the way, riders will twice tackle the iconic Bieszczady loop with demanding climbs in Kalwaria Pac\u0142awska and Gruszowa. Saturday\u2019s race will also be a visual feast \u2013 the entire route winds through picturesque Bieszczady roads.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Czes\u0142aw Lang completed a reconnaissance of the route \u2013 by bike.<\/p>\n

“I still love cycling. I\u2019ve just returned from Ar\u0142am\u00f3w, where I rode the final route of the race. I started at Hotel Ar\u0142am\u00f3w, passed through Gruszowa and Kalwaria Pac\u0142awska, and returned to Ar\u0142am\u00f3w \u2013 this is the loop we\u2019ll ride as amateurs” says<\/em> the 1980 Olympic silver medalist.<\/p>\n

Hotel Ar\u0142am\u00f3w \u2013 the heart of the first stage of the ORLEN Lang Team Race \u2013 is a remarkable place that, in the coming days, will be pulsating with cycling energy. In addition to the ORLEN Lang Team Race, the steep climb in Ar\u0142am\u00f3w will host the finish of three stages for young riders competing in the ORLEN Nations Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
